February 25 2008 - Radiator Woes Stop Reidy’s Charge at the Motorplex |

A punctured radiator spoiled Danny Reidy’s chances of a Top 5 result during the latest round of the AHG Series at the Perth Motorplex on Saturday night (February 23) in his preparations for this weekend’s Krikke Boys Shootout.
During the running of the feature race Reidy, who started from 14th in the field, had worked his way up to seventh and looked set to move higher, towards a Top 5 finish, only to suffer a hole in the radiator in the closing stages and this forced him to retire his # 5 Queensland Speedway Spares backed Eagle.
“All was looking good in the feature race up until the radiator suffered a crack, as in the closing stages I saw the temperature rising and during one of the red light stoppages it got worse and I pulled out,” explained Reidy, who finished his two heat races earlier in the night with a 10th place finish and a solid victory.
“My focus now is this weekend’s Krikke Boys Shootout and I’m looking for a podium finish there, and the whole event is just awesome and is one of favourite events of the season without a doubt.”
The Krikke Boys Shootout is held at Bunbury City Speedway this weekend, March 1 and 2.
