The latest round of the Comp Cams Sprintcar Series was fought out on Saturday night at Brisbane International Speedway and it resulted in Danny Reidy finishing just off the podium in fourth place.

After starting the feature race from position nine in the field, Reidy was able to charge his way up to fourth place and was right on the third placed car but was unable to progress any higher.

“Fourth place is not a bad result considering that there were some very strong cars, such as Brazier [Garry], Scheuerle [Andrew], Gessner [Cameron], and McFadden [James] that started ahead of me,” Reidy said.

“I didn’t have the best of runs in my opening heat race, as I pretty much finished where I started, and in the second heat race I come from the rear to take the win, and my first heat race result hurt me in terms of starting further up in the feature race field.”

During his two heat races Reidy, driving his # 5 NT Queensland Speedway Spares backed Eagle, finished with a sixth and a win and therefore started the feature race from position nine.

Next Saturday night (April 19) Reidy will travel to Toowoomba’s Charlton Speedway in QLD and it has been a few seasons since he last competed there, but is looking forward to returning.
