An off track incident has brought Danny Reidy’s 2007/08 Sprintcar season a close sooner than he had expected after he sustained a fractured wrist recently.

On the Wednesday before he was to contest the Crispy Memorial at Toowoomba’s Charlton Raceway on Saturday, April 19, Reidy suffered some misfortune away from the track and in the process sustained a fracture to the wrist which therefore ended his season there and then.
Reidy was disappointed to have his season end the way it did, especially with him having to miss both the Crispy Memorial and the Queensland Title events.

“I was really looking forward to taking part in both the Crispy Memorial and the Queensland Title, but these things happen from time to time,” Reidy commented.

“The doctors said that driving a race car with the condition that my wrist is currently would be impossible, and if I did race, I would incur more damage, so he has recommended plenty of rest.”

With Reidy’s off season starting soon than expected the plans remain undecided for the winter break, but for the immediate future the main focus is the healing of his fractured wrist.
