Expected to be out for the remainder of the 2007/08 season, Danny Reidy made a surprise return last Saturday Night (May 10) driving the Kevin Titman # 59 car at the Brisbane International Speedway during the penultimate round of the Comp Cams Sprintcar Series.

Reidy was offered the drive by fellow Sprintcar driver Kevin Titman, who is actually a client of Reidy’s at Queensland Speedway Spares, due to him sustaining injury and being unable to drive.

During the night Reidy was on the pace and in his two heat races recorded a pair of fourth place finishers and started the feature race from position 12. Reidy was on a charge during the feature race and had worked his way up to sixth only to retire in the closing stages due to his car jumping out of gear.

“Up until the car jumped out of gear we were having a good night, but these things happen from time to time,” Reidy expressed.

“I must thank Kevin [Titman] and his team for allowing me to drive, and it was the first time I have raced in nearly a month due to me being sidelined with a wrist injury, so it was good to get back out there.”

It is likely that Reidy will get behind the wheel of the # 59 Maxwill Race Engines powered Cool for the final round of the Comp Cams Series on Saturday night, May 24 at Brisbane International Speedway.
