There wasn’t much luck on the side of Danny Reidy last Friday and Saturday night at Adelaide’s Speedway City in South Australia with the ‘Rock Star’ failing to record a single lap during either of the feature races in the Australian Sprintcar Nationals.

On Friday night’s feature race Reidy failed to complete a single lap due to a coming together with another rivals that resulted in race ending contact with the outside wall and on Saturday night the feature race ended in a similar scenario after a mistake by Reidy saw him wash up track on the opening lap and make contact with the outside wall once again and saw record yet another DNF.

“I am not sure too sure, but there must have been a magnet or something with me and the outside wall come the feature race as I couldn’t even manage a single lap on either nights,” Reidy joked. “It was certainly disappointing weekend and not the type of form I want to be taking with me into this weekend’s Australian Championship over in Western Australia.”

Reidy, aboard his # 5 NT Desert Palms Resort J&J, drove consistency throughout his two heat races on the Friday night finishing third and sixth and that started him out of position 12 for the feature race and on Saturday night he placed fifth and sixth in his two heat races and therefore started the feature race out of position 14 in the field.

The focus for Reidy now turns to this weekend’s (Thursday, Friday and Saturday night) Australian Championship over at the Perth Motorplex in Western Australia and he has set a top five result as his goal for the weekend.
