January 11 2010 - Reidy Keen to Turn Around WSS Fortunes: |

The past month for Danny Reidy on the World Series Sprintcar (WSS) Championship trail has been one to forget, but this Friday and Saturday night the Queenslander is keen to turn his fortunes around when the WSS circus returns to Parramatta City Raceway (Sydney, NSW).
Reidy’s last appearance at PCR for WSS earlier last month nearly resulted in a maiden round victory, however in the latter stages of the feature race he was past by American Jason Johnson for the lead and had to be content with second place.
With that result still fresh in his mind, Reidy is aiming this weekend to go one better and put to bed the bad luck since that result behind him.
“A lot of my bad luck over the past month has been a case of simply being in the wrong place, at the wrong time and to be honest it really starts to get to you,” Reidy explained, who estimated that he has torn up to $40,000 worth of gear in the past month. “I’m very much looking forward to getting back to PCR and hopefully we can return to form and challenge for a break through WSS round victory.”
Much to his surprise, Reidy currently sits eighth in the overall WSS point standings after 10 completed rounds.
“There was a stage where I was down to as low as 13th, so to be sitting eighth after the month that we have had is quite pleasing,” the NT # 5 Desert Palms Resort backed J&J driver remarked. “With my WSS Championship point standing hopes down the drain, the focus for the remaining rounds is to contend for podium results; hopefully we can pick up a win or two.”
Reidy would like to thank Desert Palms Resort in Alice Springs, Baines Engines, Gonzo Racing Pipes, Camden Neon Signs and P&M Motor Body Repairs for all their ongoing support in the 09/10 season.
