April 12 2010 - Controversial End to Reidy’s NSW Title Campaign:

After originally crossing the finish line of the NSW Sprintcar Title in third, Danny Reidy had a controversial chief steward decision play against him and he was relegated off the podium back to fourth place.

Last Saturday night at Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway (TPCR), Reidy left deeply disappointed with the end decision that robbed him of a NSW Title podium result.

“We had worked our way forward, conserved our fuel over the 35-laps, and then in the end we got duded by the chief steward as there was a mix up with a lapped car that was got put into third place,” expressed a disappointed Reidy, who had originally started the feature race from position 13 in the field after he had finished his heat races earlier in the night with a victory and a 10th place. “It was a difficult night for a lot of us, as the track was really tricking. In the end we had just scraped through in the end to finish, as we were pretty lucky as we ran out of fuel just as we reached the finish line.”

The driver of the NT # 5 Desert Palms Resort / Titan Plant Hire supported J&J is next going to be in action this Saturday night (April 17) at Brisbane International Speedway up in Queensland for the latest round of the Queensland Speedway Spares Sprintcar Series.

Reidy would like to thank Desert Palms Resort in Alice Springs, Titan Plant Hire, Baines Engines, Gonzo Racing Pipes, Camden Neon Signs and P&M Motor Body Repairs for all their support throughout the 2009/10 season.
